It seems that this desire to find harmony is what brings people of different backgrounds and worldviews to Art Atelier Pristina. Here, one can soothe the soul through painting, heartfelt conversations, and the special atmosphere created by Anna Congedo.
For me personally, it is the joy of connecting with kindred spirits. And also, perhaps most importantly, it is the opportunity to promote Ukrainian national culture. You wouldn’t believe it, but I feel deeply happy when I see my foreign friends mastering the transitional brushstroke or painting with a cat brush. They are delighted like children when, unexpectedly for themselves, patterns emerge from the chaos of uncertain strokes.
Today I conducted a coffee painting workshop. The participants shared their own stories and memories, improvising their compositions in a new technique. It requires no special training or expensive equipment, which makes it accessible to anyone. Everything needed for creativity is usually already at home: coffee, salt, wooden sticks, and a simple brush.
We sipped coffee from tiny cups and shared our emotions from the workshop. We hadn’t even finished drying our paintings when we were already imagining what we would paint next time. But that remains a secret for now.
