Description
Inspired by the original artworks of Ukrainian artist Liudmyla Makei, this postcard collection celebrates the delicate beauty of flowers, ornamental motifs, and traditional decorative painting.
The collection was created in Prishtina during Liudmyla Makei’s stay at the Journalist Residence and features artworks painted in the refined technique of Petrykivka decorative art — a traditional Ukrainian painting style recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Each illustration is created using traditional Petrykivka methods and tools, including the distinctive cat-hair brush technique and expressive finger painting details that give the compositions their organic rhythm and vibrant character.
Printed in rich color on high-quality cardstock, every postcard in the series features a unique artwork and includes a classic postcard layout on the reverse side. Sized in the international postcard standard format (11 × 15 cm), the cards are perfect for postcrossing, gifting, collecting, framing, or sending thoughtful handwritten notes.
A small collection of botanical artworks created to carry warmth, craftsmanship, and Ukrainian cultural heritage across borders.
