What struck me the most was that a film about Maidan — the Revolution of Dignity that took place in Ukraine from November 2013 to February 2014 — was shown here in Kosovo, a country not officially recognised by Ukraine.
Just three years ago, such an event would have seemed impossible.
Today, I feel proud and deeply aware of the impact the Ukrainian community is making in Kosovo: from bringing Kosovo-related news into Ukrainian media, to countering propaganda and disinformation, and to sharing with Albanians the beauty of Ukrainian culture and the openness of the Ukrainian soul.
Together with Liudmila Makey, our mentor and guide in traditional art, I contributed paintings to the exhibition. Of course my daughter's oranges took a place in exhibition too. You can view them until 29 August in the hall of Europa House, UQK Street. ps: you can watch the full movie on Netflix
